  • Alleged Tesha Miller supporters protest

The St. Catherine North Police are on Tuesday afternoon on high alert.
The police are being vigilant after scores of persons, who they say are supporters of the reputed Clansman gang leader Tesha Miller, on Tuesday morning, staged a demonstration along a section of the Spanish Town by-pass.
The protesters are demanding that Tesha Miller be released before Christmas Day and are threatening to disrupt social and commercial life in Spanish Town if their demand is not met.
A source at the Spanish Town Police Station told RJR News that the police are now closely monitoring the Spanish Town bus park and sections of Old Harbour Road, St. John's Road, Brunswick Avenue and the Sligoville main road.
Just Monday Police Commissioner Owen Ellington reported that the police threat level is now at extremely high.
The Commissioner said while the threat level has been raised for all police personnel, members of the force who work and live in Spanish Town and its environs are being advised to be extremely vigilant.
Commissioner Ellington says since Miller's recent arrest, the security situation in Spanish Town and its environs has been exacerbated with a noticeable increase in criminal activities.
He says several policemen have received death threats with criminals threatening that the Police in Spanish Town will not have a good Christmas if the alleged gang leader remains in prison.
The Police Commissioner has also sought to assure that the criminal case involving Mr. Miller will be pursued vigorously through the Courts.
He says the reputed Clansman leader will be charged and the Police will oppose bail until trial.

He has been charged for larceny, illegal weapon and something else. So, I guess Spanish Town residents are in for a warm Christmas!

More like Spanish Town lock down. Lets see if the charges can stick this time around.

The police should ask for a state of emergency and a curfew for Spanish Town and its environs for Christmas, from the 24th to the 26th. Not even Santa and him reindeer should enter without permission from a supervising officer on the ground!

Those breaching curfew should be warned strongly that they could be shot on sight!

        Tiyad a it now!
