He was slated to appear with other officials of the entity in relation to the NIBJ's role in the <SPAN class=kLink style="FONT-WEIGHT: 400; FONT-SIZE: 10pt; COLOR: blue! important; FONT-FAMILY: Verdana,Arial; POSITION: relative">Sandals</SPAN> Whitehouse project.

When the task came to Mr. James’ appearance, senior Development Bank of <SPAN class=kLink style="FONT-WEIGHT: 400; FONT-SIZE: 10pt; COLOR: blue! important; BORDER-BOTTOM: blue 1px solid; FONT-FAMILY: Verdana,Arial; POSITION: relative; BACKGROUND-COLOR: transparent">Jamaica</SPAN> officials advised PAC Chairman Mike Henry that repeated attempts to contact Mr. James proved unsuccessful.

DBJ legal officer Stephanie Muir said that several calls were made for the most recent numbers that were in the bank’s <SPAN class=kLink style="FONT-WEIGHT: 400; FONT-SIZE: 10pt; COLOR: blue! important; BORDER-BOTTOM: blue 1px solid; FONT-FAMILY: Verdana,Arial; POSITION: relative; BACKGROUND-COLOR: transparent">database</SPAN> prior to Mr. James’ resignation.

    However this route failed.

Mrs. Muir told the PAC that her offices were continuing to try and reach Mr. James.

But PAC member Audley Shaw was not ready to accept the explanation.

Mr. Shaw demanded to know if Mr. James disappeared or was residing overseas.

Mr. Shaw said there is need for Mr. James to be questioned by the PAC and urged the bank officials to do more to locate Mr. James.

For all intent and purposes Mr. James may very well have left the COUNTRY for other shores. (Tant)

Maybe ... and if he is still in Jamaica, going to the Public Ass Committee is a damn waste of time. I was an admirer of this committee as they always uncover whats going on, but ever since KD Knight and John Junor joined the committee, it has lost its integrity. Yes, in this session he offered to assist in locating the individual, but in other sessions .... damn.
