Shallow graves found in Portmore

The bodies, which unconfirmed reports suggest number three, were found in a green field near Germaine Road.
Dalling said he had dialogue with Portmore's Mayor Keith Hinds on the matter.
"I spoke to the mayor late last night in getting the NSWMA (National Solid Waste Management Authority) team to be called in the area to bush and clean the area," Dalling said.
The councillor's desire is to have the area, which is the proposed site of the Westmeade Meadows housing project, cleared following Thursday's discovery by the police
of a body in the area.
The decomposing human remains of two other bodies were recovered when the police resumed their search yesterday.
Dalling, while noting that the unoccupied land which thugs seem to be using as a burial ground is owned by the Government, said he would be seeking dialogue with the respective government bodies to have the area cleared and properly maintained.
He also said the informal settlement on the embankment of the area would also be examined.
When The Gleaner visited the scene yesterday morning, the St Catherine South police, along with a Scene of Crime team were combing the huge lot following the discovery.
The lot was cordoned off to prevent possible contamination of the scene.
Up to press time last night, the Constabulary Communication Network, the communications arm of the police force, had not provided an update on the investigations.
