.... Or is it just coincidence with what's been happening with FIFA's Football World Cup. Consider this; Japan & Korea 2002, South Africa 2010, Brazil 2014, Russia 2018, and Qatar 2022. The most prestigeous football tournament going to these divers parts of the world (especially the far east, and middle east), and away from the usual economic/political main players in the West. One thing for sure, from the outrage, vexation,and almost rabid bitterness expressed in the media about England not getting the 2018 tournament, maybe that the success of Russia and Qatar in being awarded the next two world cups (and Brasil 2014) is a symbolic sign of the times, and a shift in the worlds political/economic landscape.
