  • PNP defends decision against contesting by-election

The People's National Party (PNP) has dismissed suggestions that it’s staying away from the polls in Jamaica because it fears another by-election defeat.

Of the three previous by-elections that were called because of dual citizenship issues, the PNP contested two and lost both.

According to PNP general secretary Peter Bunting, the most recent opinion polls indicate that his party is more favourable than the Jamaica Labour Party (JLP).

So after getting the MP unseated, try all kinds of tricks and gimmicks to have the seat handed over to one of their man, they refuse to face the people at the polls?

These obstructionists only aim is to obstruct.
