Washington (CNN) -- After more than three days of deliberations, jurors on Monday convicted Ingmar Guandique of two counts of first-degree murder in the 2001 death of Washington intern Chandra Levy.
As the verdict was read, Levy's mother, Susan, stared intently at Guandique.
Jurors deliberated for three days and then two hours on Monday before notifying Superior Court Judge Gerald Fisher about 11:45 a.m. that they had reached a verdict. They entered the courtroom at 12:35 p.m.
