Majority back keeping health care reforms

When it comes to the health care law Obama signed in March, just 39 percent back the GOP effort to repeal it or scale it back. Fifty-eight percent would rather make even more changes in the health care system or leave the measure alone.
Fifty-three percent say income tax cuts that soon will expire should be renewed for all — including the highest earners, as Republicans want — according to an Associated Press-GfK Poll conducted just after last week's elections. But 44 percent would continue the cuts only for those earning under $250,000 a year — which Obama favors — or let them lapse for everyone.

Well, of the people who voted, yes. Those who are opposed to the health care reform were more motivated than those who are not opposed.

Hopefully by the next election cycle the Dems can push the message that "Republicans want to take away the reforms!" and have the guts to defend it.

i think the gop has misread the election results... young dems just did not come out to vote... they will come out in the 2012 when they become more aware of all that is at stake... healthcare, helath insurance, financial aid...

the economy is on the improve and should be more noticeable by 2012... even if it improves moderately by then obama should prevail... i think people are coming to understand that the republicans are sabotaging the president's effort and hurting the country...

an aside: i noticed an obama '08 bumper sticker this morning... it dawned on me that obama has been the president for only 22 months and yet so many people expect him to create miracles and undo 8 yrs (96 months) of ruin by bush in that short time... monkey seh de werl nuh level...

The demcrats however better start honing a message and stop been republican lights. They certainly are not getting the message accross.
