Agreed... but she dun seh Trinidad is not a ATM card and it's in that vein that she's continuing; she's feeling the financial pressure (relative); the treasury doesn't have as much in it as it could; CLICO might end up costing a bag of money; the Public servants are on rotating go slow having rejected the govt's pay offer of 1% increase and the list goes on... her statement was politically undiplomatic, but the sentiment was no faux pas... she's looking for business for T&T.

The above is not to excuse her insensitive comment, but to put it in a context.

BTW, concerning CLICO, the previous TT govt. had put in over $1billion US into the failing company and they (current govt.) don't know how it was spent... talk about Manley's "dose of salts" comment coming full circle...
