The Customs Department is reporting another record month in revenue intake.
Danville Walker, Commissioner of Customs, says revenue collection during October was $2 billion above projection.
He attributed this to improved management of the operations of the Department.
"If you look at where our numbers are now, we are $3 billion ahead of where we expected to be in revenue in customs collection just half way or a little more into the financial year. And last month alone (October), we collected nearly $2 billion more over the target," Mr. Walker said.
He was speaking at a luncheon seminar put on by the Jamaica Chamber of Commerce on Tuesday.
