I agree, and they have not promoted their Significant legislative success this year.

Healthcare - no more denying people insurance because of pre-existing conditions - kids can be on parents insurance till 26, it is not a gov't takeover, deficit neutral - etc. etc - dem failed fi promote its benefits

I expect Obama to give it a good shot come re-election time. A lot of it is outside his control though. The global economic climate is bigger than any one set of policy makers can turn around quickly.

That said, the election of these Tea Party supporters will be interesting. They will quickly realise that a few representatives can change very little in Washington in a short period of time, and I suspect they will go for the jugular of the Republilcan party and attempt to take it over totally.

That gives Obama and the Dems a chance because very few of them that i have seen so far can win on a national level, unless things get a LOT worse and Obama is blamed for all of it.
