The Council of Paramedics and Nurse Anaesthetics has issued an ultimatum to the Ministries of Finance and Health.
The group of critical health workers, which is represented by the National Workers Union (NWU) issued a seven day ultimatum today.
The workers say they are at their wits end and want to be paid outstanding salaries by December.
Howard Duncan, Vice President of the NWU, told RJR News that stability in the health sector cannot be guaranteed, if the Government does not meet the demands of the health workers.
"Let's hope the Government makes good on having the Heads of Agreement settled because the workers are adamant that a settlement has to be made and made now. They want to be paid by December like the rest of the public sector workers," he said.
The paramedic group comprises 1,200 employees who fall in ten categories.
They include pharmacy technicians, radiographers and contact investigators.
Mr. Duncan added that the Government pointed out in is latest communique that it was not able to meet the workers' demands.
