"PRIME Minister Bruce Golding has warned that Jamaica will not achieve "developed country status" within the next 20 years, unless the Vision 2030 national plan is embraced by the entire country."
"The main plan, which consists of 410 pages, was tabled in Parliament last year, but a decision was later taken to produce a more concise version, which would be more appealing to and easily understood by the 'man in the street'. The result was an 88-page document dubbed the 'popular version'. Several copies of it have already been printed and will soon be made available for distribution islandwide, mainly through organisations, such as the Social Development Commission, community associations and the Ministry of Education"
