It’s understood the contractor, whose name has not yet been disclosed owes more than $100 million in taxes.
Communications Director, Meris Haughton, says the tax department has been trying to recover the unpaid amounts since last year.
The operation took place at 7 Seaview Avenue off Old Hope Road in St. Andrew.
This is the second such operation carried out by the tax department in as many days.
Yesterday, the special enforcement team seized a motor vehicle belonging to the head of Shocking Vibes Entertainment, Patrick Roberts.
However Roberts later explained that the vehicle was acquired from a dealership and was yet to be transferred to his name.
He has also denied that he owes taxes.
