Golding, churches want Jamaica to repent

PRIME Minister Bruce Golding has expressed his support for a call by the Jamaica Umbrella Group of Churches for a national day of repentance, renewal and healing this Sunday, September 26.
In a message to endorse the day, Golding said “much of what is wrong in the society is of our own making and own transgression."
“There are too many ways in which we have lost our way, too many scores we have to settle, too much hatred in our hearts and too many schemes in our minds," he added.
The prime minister has called on the nation to join in this day of repentance, renewal and healing and to seek forgiveness.
