    It is really amazing to see the ease and fluidity with which the various types of jakan music are discussed in this WSJ article with no reference point or explanation, of course it is an "article on No doubt" but still amazing to see the breadth of the discourse in such a easy everyday manner.

    Glad she gave it credit as an influence , some artist dont, reference point or explanation ? Thats a different issue that I would love to hear but she has time.

      No doubt always give reggae/ska as their main inspiration. Respect to them. Last album they teamed up with Sly and Robbie, Lady Saw, Bonty Killer amongst others and a lot of it was recorded in Jamaica.
      • Don't let negative things break you, instead let it be your strength, your reason for growth. Life is for living and I won't spend my life feeling cheated and downtrodden.
