HUMAN rights group Jamaicans for Justice (JFJ), has come out against the recent attacks on police officers.
Three policemen have been killed by gunmen in a week while another was injured during a gun-battle with wanted men in Clarendon.
In a release to the media today JFJ executive director Carolyn Gomes, said the attacks were regrettable and called for the killers to be brought to justice.
"The loss of life of a police officer and the injury of another, especially in light of other recent police killings, demonstrate the dangerous conditions in which the police have to operate while on or off duty. As JFJ has stated in the past, an attack on police while lawfully performing their duties is an attack on law and order. We must as a nation bring an end to this senseless blood-letting and break the cycle of violence," Gomes said
