THE Island Special Constabulary Force Association (ISCFA), won a major court victory today after a ruling was handed down that the Government must honour a Heads of Agreement to pay the cops a seven per cent increase.
The ISCFA and the government have been at odds because of the State's refusal to pay the increase which was agreed due in the second year of the 2008/2010 contract.
Today, Justice Roy Jones ruled that the Government must pay the agreed wage package as it was bound by the agreement.
The ruling was the result of a suit brought by the ISCF Association last year over the Golding administration’s decision not to pay the increase.
