  • Great show last night at Hard Rock Cafe in Ft Lauderdale

Got there just a tad late to catch the opening act. T'was a sweet young lady with a beautiful voice. Don't know her name and didn't recognize the songs but ohhhh such talent!

Next up was Culture featuring Kenyata Hill (son of the late Joseph Hill). Very good performance by the group. Kenyata picked up the "baton" left by his father and he was a "conqueror." We will hear more about Kenyata as he leads "Culture" onwards into the coming years.

There was a band change and out came Inner Circle. And they wowed the crowd with hits such as Bad Boys Bad Boys, Girl I wanna Make You Sweat, I Was Born An Innocent Child, Dreadlocks Can't Live inna Tenament yard et al. Fantastic performance. They even sang a tribute to Sugar Bugga Minott. That new lead vocalist (who is also their lead guitarist) has an awesome voice and took me back to the days of Jacob Killa Miller. Good too see my old buddies Touter (on piano), Ian (base) and Roger (rythm guitar) on stage.

There was another band change as the Harmony Band strung up for the main act. This is my fifth Beres show and he has never failed to deliver. Absolutely (for me) the best act out of Jamaica. The "Hit-Maker-from-Jamaica" went through his repertoire of hits and had the ladies swooning. Everyone got on their feet for Beres as he delivered hits after hits. Even Kenyata joined Beres briefly on stage to do a Buju Banton impression. In one word: FABTABULOUS!

Culture shock ...Been in NYC too long , i was down there on vacation , saw them at Sebastion , Beres was the best .

The shock came from walking through the gate no pat down , no body scanner , just a yellow clip on my wrist and a thank you for coming , it was a show by the beach @ capt hiriam

      http://www.hirams.com/Entertainment.cfm.

It was a different crowd from the NYC crowd , mixed and cool .Makes you want to relocate.
THERE IS ONLY ONE ONANDI LOWE!

"Good things come out of the garrisons" after his daughter won the 100m Gold For Jamaica.

"It therefore is useless and pointless, unless it is for share malice and victimisation to arrest and charge a 92-year-old man for such a simple offence. There is nothing morally wrong with this man smoking a spliff; the only thing wrong is that it is still on the law books," said Chevannes.

Crowd was very good. Hard to guess the amount bcoz Hard Rock looks quite spacious inside. The lower deck was full but the upper decks had empty seats.

The ranking was in the same order as they performed.

        4. That mystery young lady.
        3. Culture probably because they did not stay on stage as long as Inner Circle.
        2. Inner Circle
        1. Beres hammond

            Dead stamp of i'm Fadah.

Culture is among my favorite reggae group. I would guess i have most of their music.

I highly recommend Culture CD's: Wings of a Dove, Good Things and Three Sides to My Story.

Never hear Kenyatta in concert. Just hope he represents stronger than Andrew Tosh.

                Hl,

You nah romp, anybody that list Culture as one of their favorite groups is allright with me, I have one Culture CD and I think it is my favorite of all CD's with Peter Tosh Equal Rights running real close, especially driving home from work it really brings everything into proper perspective. I will check out the other CDs you mention.

Found out yesterday that the lead singer/lead guitarist from Inner Circle is known as Kris Bentley. A wonderful addition the group!

I know. I'm in ATL as well. The tour comes to the Atlanta Civic Center on Friday at 8 pm. BTW I want to invite you and all the ATL crew to the annual Atlanta Caribbean Jerk Festival on Sunday Sept 5th.
