    Sugar Minott Is Dead

    Foundation dancehall / reggae singer, Lincoln ‘Sugar’ Minott is dead. He reportedly died earlier this evening, and although the cause of death has not yet been publicized, just a couple months ago it was reported that he was gravely ill and had been diagnosed as having Angina Pectoris – a severe heart condition – and ordered by his doctor to rest. R.I.P. to the original ‘Godfather of Dancehall’.

          strangely, i was at a "pool party" at his compound last night when the news of his passing started spreading. it seems many found it hard to believe given the merriment that was taking place there.

                sorry to hear.. one of the funniest lines I ever heard game from sugar.. He was being interviewed on radio for a show in Toronto when he said sometimes when you get the money from some promoter you just hurry up and spend because you dont too want work with them... I understood his sentiments.

                    Came back on Tuesday. It was a great trip. Even better than France in some ways. I miss it terribly.

                    Can do without the freezing cold though. Hated that!

                      Saw him once at the Apollo Theatre on 125th.

                      he was nice!!! Quite a show man!!

                      One of his attribute appear to be his interest in motivating younger prospective artists-- and giving them the opportunity..
