Boys hurl missiles at police vehicle after assailants arrest

Students from a prominent high school in St Andrew have been accused of attacking three men whom they allege had been robbing them on the school grounds in the afternoons.
According to the police, the men, ages 17, 18 and 24 of Headley Avenue addresses, have been terrorising the students, robbing them of cellular phones and money.
Police reports are that on the day of the incident, the men allegedly lingered on the school compound and robbed a student of his cellular phone valued at $5,000. It is alleged that the police were alerted and the men were accosted on Constant Spring Road.
It is claimed that shortly after the men were accosted and placed in the police car, the students descended on the vehicle and started attacking the men. The police allege that the students threw stones through the police car windows at the men, almost damaging the service vehicle.
The police said during the incident, one of the men was injured and had to be taken to the hospital before he was remanded. It is alleged that the men robbed a student of $6,500 the day before the incident.
The students were not charged as a result of the incident.
