Reality mi a deal with. London is the biggest financial market in the world a powerhouse of a city. The Brits have a diverse economy that is more open and wide reaching than any in Europe.

Empire long gone and that kinda dominance is over, but the UK is still very important globally. They are still leaders and innovaters in several industries, eg Pharma and luxury boats, just to name 2.
