  • "Livity" refuses to attend ID parades

Leighton Coke popularly known as "Livity", the brother of West Kingston fugitive Christopher "Dudus" Coke, is to face an identification parade on Wednesday.
Detectives from the Major Investigation Task Force served documents on "Livity" on Tuesday signalling their intention to place him on a series of ID parades for crimes committed in the West Kingston Police Division.
However, sources say "Livity" refused to sign the documents and made it clear to the cops that he will not be attending any ID parade.
His attorney, George Soutar, confirmed with RJR News that the police were arranging a series of ID parades for his client but declined to state whether Mr. Coke will be attending the parades.
"Livity" who is widely considered heir apparent to "Dudus", surrendered to the police on June 1 after he was placed on a list of persons of interest.
He was handed over to the cops by Reverend Al Miller.
The police described "Livity" as a major player in the crime syndicate allegedly operated by his brother who remains on the run.

                Where is Gamma on this?

He may have a point in law, given that he is a well known figure in the area and lots of people would know him, then his identity would not be an issue, this exercise would just be a formality for the purposes of confrontation.

                GAMMA!!!! Whey you deh?

LEIGHTON 'Livity' Coke, the brother of most wanted fugitive Christopher 'Dudus' Coke, is set to face an identification parade today despite his objections.
'Livity' yesterday refused to sign papers giving police the go ahead to place him in a line up. He is a suspect in shooting and other offenses committed in West Kingston, Police said.
Yesterday a police source said despite his objection and refusal to sign, the police are still at liberty to have him identified by a witness.
"He can refuse but that can't stop us. It can be done in an informal group setting or a direct confrontation with the witness. The witness can say yes that's the man," the source said.
'Livity' turned himself in to the police on June 1 after he was named as a person of interest. He has been in custody ever since.
A US$20,000 reward has been placed on his elder brother's head. The elder Coke is wanted by the United States authorities for gun and drugs running charge and has been in hiding since the security forces launched an offensive against armed thugs who barricaded themselves inside Tivoli Gardens.
The gunmen were attempting to prevent the security forces from arresting Christopher Coke.
