Jamaica to sign seven new open skies agreements

Jamaica is set to sign at least seven new open skies agreements with several countries later this month.
The agreements will be signed at the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Conference scheduled for June 27 to July 2 in Montego Bay, St. James.
The meeting, which is to be held at the Ritz Carlton Resort, will see Jamaica hosting more than 40 states, including countries from Africa, Asia, Europe as well as Central and South America.
Speaking at the launch of the conference Thursday, Director of the Jamaica Civil Aviation Authority, Lieutenant Colonel Oscar Derby, said the country is set to benefit under the new open skies agreements.
Colonel Derby says it is anticipated that the increased airflows of foreign carriers will among other things generate more jobs.
He said Jamaica will seek to explore the possibility of entering open skies agreements with as many states as possible, to create highways that should see an increase in air commerce.

There is a certain deficiency of intelligence that one must possess to be a good Comrade..

Combined with the appropriate baggage of course... the more popular being a persecution complex.. see 'Black Man Time' and a particular interest in the complexion of boards and Govt...

This results in a kind of 'affirmative action' where qualification is seconded to pigmentation..

The state of our Civil Service today is reflective...

A correction has been made and we are seeing positions of power being occupied by the proven rather than the pathetic.

    Onward !

Saw Vaz on a news clip yesterday again...really this is not the face or temperament of one in a 'front office' position. He really comes across as arrogant, cynical and condescending.....is he really all that?
