  • Okay, time for the press, and human rights organisations

to have full and complete access to Tivoli Gardens.

The reports of atrocities are mounting and are disgusting! You do not win over the hearts of the people by committing war crimes!!!

I am as upset as the next man with these thugs challenging the state, but when you have control of the area and the situation, YOU DO NOT KILL! No police or soldier has that right!!!

Time to open up the war zone. It should never have been off-limits to the press in the first place!

Is this confidential information, or is it being reported?

I heard Desmond McKenzie speak to but not about atrocities against women on TV last night but we have to be careful as we have had several 'unconfirmed stories' that have turned out to be hogwash primarily from NNN who seems to have no shame in how low they stoop to get scoops.

It is not being reported. I am going to hold off on what I have heard for now, but the fact still remains, if they have nothing to hide, then whey are they preventing the press from entering TG?

mckenzie still believes that TG is/was a model community. heard him last night squirm and fight for words when asked certain biting questions.

the stories keep coming of executions taking place one after the other. this is not what i endorse. the fight to rid the rest of jamaica of thugs and guns will be that much harder.

we might have just lost a wonderful oppty for real and lasting change.

i know Liad Bruce shame, but he must step in now and stop the carnage!!!

I told you that after the JDF members were killed it wouldn't be pretty. ie they would treat this as a war encounter. Haing said that I would treat everything said by any Tivoli resident regardless of friendship with a grain of salt. Just my experience dem different. Maybe they have to be but dem just different.

Civilian executions are not acceptable even in war though.

I agree with Mosiah, time to let the media into Tivoli, even in a restricted way embedded with the troops.

So who is keeping the media out of Tivoli now? Certainly Brucie and Desmond Mc are not in charge

The JDF/JCF leadership has to give the OK, i would think.

My guess is that Bruce is punch-drunk and ready to go bake some bread about now.

I agree that we need transparency, but you also have to remember that it is an ongoing operation, and confidentiality is also needed. A balance must be struck.
In my opinion, these claims my be exagerated, but thats my opinion based on the limited footage I have been able to see, and the constraint displayed by the security forces in the 24 to 48 hours leading up to the assault.

The PD and others who went in yesterday spoke at length this morning on one of the TV shows that as far as they have seen the security forces have behaved with restraint and have been very professional in their duties.

I am willing to take his word over Desmond McKenzie and any of the loud mouthed women of Tivoli any day.

Well, let's watch and see. I just want the truth and I hope the truth is the police and soldiers have not acted criminally themselves.

I agree. Why do I believe that vI have seen those alligator tears before. The security force or the public are not going to be fooled twice.
