This is shaping up to be one of the most, if not the most successful effort by law enforcement officers we have witnessed in our beloved land.

I think the reason for this is multifactorial, not the least of which is the independence from interference by politicians, with which they are carrying out their duties. In times past, Seaga-the Vampire would have intervened, and we would be right back to where we started. Now, with a weakened Golding, an inept ruling party and cabinet, a headless opposition, a frustrated and fed up public, and frustrated security force, all bets are off, and they are carrying out their duties in a way that they should have long been allowed to. Also, with Golding not stepping in to curtail the operations in his own constituency, for whatever reason, the other corrupt garrison politicians should be on notice, as there will be not limiting political factor in preventing law enforcement from carrying out their duties. They hopefully will be limited only by good, moral judgement, and respect for the constitutional right of law abiding citizens. Criminals would have forfeited those rights.

We thank them for their service to our country. And while they are at it, the foul-mouthed dj's who have been glorifying gunmen, and dons will soon have to take a second look at their bahaviour, and lets not forget the half-naked women left over from the perpetual Saturday night street dances, and who clog our streets on Sunday mornings making it difficult for our children to navigate the sidewalks on their way to church. Their might be no better time than now to enforce noise ordinances, and public dress codes as it pertains to nudity. We need to take our streets back.

No politician should ever protect a criminal or someone arrested on criminal charges except insofar as to ensure he gets a fair trail.

The noise ordinances need enforcing. It isn't like people can't go and attend those street dances or parties if they want, but they must be reasonable and realize that it doesn't help society (including children who need to go to school) if they have children at those dances or if the dances go on until 6 am or later. Likewise if those women want to bare all then they can do so at private parties and maybe even at street dances provided they simply cover up when walking on the street (surely the can find stylish jackets).

anyway, i am with y'all on this, but i hope they get rid off the badwud law. if you are a public nuisance while using it, or if you're threatening someone while using it, arrest them for the real problem, not the badwud.
