  • There is absolutely nothing Liad Bruce can say tonight

that anyone really wants to hear, unless he is finally resigning.

I spoke to a policeman last night who is upset (to put it mildly) with Bruce, the JLP and his own police force. Last time we had any political conversation, he certainly was not a comrade and he longed for the day when Dr. Gomes is silenced, so to speak.

He said if this were any other community, the police would have moved in already. He called his fellow officers cowards. At the same time, he understood why some were not prepared to die over something that was the product of, as he put it, Bruce and Seaga. He said they should be the ones on the frontline

He refused to confirm that the attack on TG would take place today, and I respect him for that.

Then minutes ago, I spoke with a friend who said she had a friend in the US Army who told her a few things which she shared with me. I am unable to repeat them here, but suffice it to say, it is quite alarming. She had more to say on the relationship between Bruce and Seaga as she knows the latter's family quite well.

Sorry for piquing your interest and leave you hanging, but I would hate to be the one to in any way compromise the plans of our security forces.

By the way, anyone hear from Desmond McKenzie recently?

I again call for the Honourable Bruce Golding to do the honourable thing.

Agree with you Mo, I would not want to hear anything from Bruce tonight. He should say 2 words "I RESIGN" and walk away!

Well, Bruce might just be reporting that Dudus is in US custody by the time he comes on the air.

That would be the start of it. He can get the criminals to hand over the weapons, remove the barricades and promise to live clean, crime-free lives, then he can remain prime minister for life!

and Bruce will never be prime minister for life. Good!

If only he would step down now so that we can at least have a leader who commands some respect from the people Jamaica. I know many plasma and LCD screens risk being destroyed when that idiot appears on tv at 8:30 tonight.

Realistically though, if he finds a way to get Prezi to give the order to cease fire, AND give himself up, he would really have pulled off something unexpected.

No way he would resign after that.

So, you would take that as something to big up Bruce about?

No, but I can see how it could be spun as an outcome that spared the country what looked like a certain bloodbath and international headlines.

The public would have to keep up the pressure on him to follow through with what has to be done.

No, but I was hoping. The Jamaican people do not want him as our leader. He needs to realise that and step!
