so as far as Bricktop is concerned, JLP is allowed to frig up the country based on how bad PNP frig up the country before they did. typical silly labourite mentality. as mi say, nuff a unnuh a labourite/socialist first and jamaican second.

Yes the story is that Manley left the room and went to the bathroom when DK gave Spy the gun. When the JLP got evidence of this and called an emergency meeting, Manley countered and called a State of Emergency.
Manley was a VERY dangerous man with power, he really believed he was The Chosen One for a while there."It is easier to build strong children than to repair broken men" - Frederick Douglass

In any event Bricktop, your examples here are a classic example of moral equivalency or basically "two wrongs DO make a right" which is crap. If this same logic is followed then it would mean that if you raped someone's sister or mother and got away with it then they have every right to rape your sister or mother and not be punished. The simple fact is that rape wrong and nobody should do it and those that do it should be punished. Likewise all those events you listed are wrong and should never have occurred and the persons responsible should have taken responsibility and resigned as well as faced some kind of punishment (a stint in gaol until trial and then some serious prison time). The mere idea that people can stoop so low as to seriously suggest moral equivalency when it comes the chicanery and outright abuse of power by government (whether past, present or future) is just another example of the fact that Jamaica has regressed to such a point that it is not ready for self-government (if it was ever ready to start with). Any person taking this position is essentially saying they wouldn't have a problem with their sister or mother being raped or their brother or father being killed so long as they or someone else did it to other persons before and got away it. Now is that what you are saying Bricktop?

Were any angels killed? It was an outrage. yes, but put it into persepective. The murders of the Clarendon youths....the Portmore ones...all 'Police' killings....It's sad but maybe we do need some 'sterilization' of some of these gangsters.

As for the Manatt issue it isn't hard to connect the dots: Manatt was hired to lobby on behalf of someone accused of smuggling drugs and guns....guns are used by people to kill other people (i.e. "murder").....the group involved in these activities has in the past had members convicted of murder in the US and any drug and gun running operation will most likely involve some kind of funny business when it comes to money (either money laundering, counterfeiting or other activities). Is what kind of guns you think they accusing Mr. Coke of running? Water guns?

In any event, it isn't like Coke wasn't charged with murder before.....

Not sure who should do what but here is the bigger question. If one really believe in law and order and the end of garrison donmanship how does one lobby to spare the alleged. That is the crux of the leadership void. Sure others have done corrupted things but it seems that they are some leadership issues here.

In any event, it isn't like Coke wasn't charged with murder before.....

EDIT: Still ignoring the questions though I see. I guess we should take your silence as consent that you wouldn't have a problem with someone raping your mother or sister as long as you raped someone else or as along as anybody got away with rape.
