Zero tolerance for bra straps and washrags!

    Published: Monday | May 10, 2010 0 Comments and 0 Reactions

Seen at an Osmosis event in 2005, this young woman's outfit features a built-in bra with a sexy tie in the front. Her breasts are not spilling and she looks both sexy and tasteful.

If you are not too busty and you look as good as this young woman does, go braless! Don't wear bras only to look untidy when you are finished dressing.

A tankini, tube top or camisole is appropriate but missing from this attire.

    Not cute!

If you are a man with a lot more to mop up, try these bigger handkerchiefs. Buy half a dozen so you have a clean one for each weekday. - photos by Nashauna Drummond

Women's handkerchiefs are better than washrags. If you don't have these, use disposable Kleenex instead.

Is underwear the new outerwear? Not exactly, but it sure has gained popularity and prominence for many women who now think it is cool to show them off as accessories.
It is said that pop star Madonna made this trend of underwear for outer wear fashionable when she appeared on stage many years ago wearing a sexy bra-like top. As time went by, this evolved into bustiers. But there are many copycats around, and some young trendsetters seized the opportunity to cash in on this fast-spreading fad. So what started on the stage, later made its way on to the streets and became a trend.
The fact is that brassieres are not supposed to 'accessorise' an outfit or be exposed. Bras are called underwear for a reason and should remain safely concealed under the clothing.

Women are now wearing brassieres as an extension of their outfits when wearing pieces like strapless tops or dresses, spaghetti straps, low cut and one-shoulder outfits. Sometimes they match the colour of the bra with the rest of clothes as part of the combination, but this is simply making the wrong fashion statement.

This is inappropriate for tasteful appearances and you most definitely not see United States First Lady Michelle Obama dressed like that! The fact that there are many variations in bra styles, means that there is one for every outfit.

    Rags/handkerchiefs
Washrags belong in the bathroom but, for many, rags serve a dual purpose. They also double as handkerchiefs! So it is not unusual to arrive for a formal affair at a New Kingston hotel and see well dressed women sporting a rolled up wash rag in the same hand as her evening bag!
If you have to use rags, do so in the confines of your home or in the privacy of your car, and leave them there! Mop your brow, dry the sweat and move on.

Believe it or not, there are many women who walk around with a rag in their handbag and conveniently pop it out to wipe their faces. Ranging in many colours, just like lipstick, this has become a fixture in lot many handbags.

Well for those of you who are guilty, remember that it does not look right and isn't exactly feminine either. There are options that you can utilise instead of using that washrag on your face. Purchase a pack of face-cleansing towelettes, which can neatly fit in a bag.

Women's handkerchiefs are also quite feminine and can come in very handy. These are not bulky to carry either. Or if your face tends to get shiny, take along a compact and apply a bit of powder to tone down the shine.

Remember, being in tune with fashion means that you are to be fashion conscious. That others are doing something, does not make it fashionable or appropriate.
Life is a system of half-truths and lies, opportunistic, convenient evasion.”

We need to do it African style, allow the women to go topless! BTW - That law in New York State is that a woman is free to go topless!
