It's amazing how some people can't keep a story straight. When this episode was developing we had some politicians saying that Brady first talked to Leys about Manatt on a December plane-ride to Washington, then later it was recalled that Brady talked to Leys sometime in September about Manatt. And apparently (and if anybody has listened to Nationwide they can confirm this for me or deny it) we have the Attorney-General Dorothy Lightbourne claiming yesterday or the day before that she only heard about Manatt when Peter Phillips raised it in Parliament but Nationwide did a Jon Stewart on her by playing a tape of Solicitor-General Leys saying that he briefed the Attorney-General on his return from that Washington trip where he allowed a Manatt rep to sit in on the inter-governmental discussions upon the suggestion by Brady and with the approval of the US State Department. Sounds like nobody thought it necessary that everyone sing from the same the page.
On a side note, Vasciannie must be thanking his lucky stars that Bruce encouraged the GG to fire the PSC and thereby have his candidacy for being the Solicitor-General lapse.TIVOLI: THE DESTRUCTION OF JAMAICA'S EVIL EMPIRE

Or that Leys decided not to bother telling her about Brady's suggestion, his subsequent invitation to the Manatt rep and the approval the State Department gave for a non-governmental official to sit in on inter-governmental meetings and Leys subsequent decision that Manatt's services were not required at this time but perhaps in the future.
Or that Lightbourne was lying.
Or that Lightbourne is now so tired and confused by recent events that she forgot Ley's briefing (or those parts that mentioned Manatt if at all).
Maybe Lightbourne should take a vacation."Jamaica's future reflects its past, having attained only one per cent annual growth over 30 years whilst neighbours have grown at five per cent." (Article)

point is neither bruce nor dorothy wanted vasciannie... and is a good thing vasciannie is not part of this cause he is a man of good character and they would not be happy with his principled decision making...
vasciannie is a patriot and would not allow himself to be compromised... i think leys may be forced to make some decisions soon...'to get what we've never had, we MUST do what we've never done'
