Spanish Town under curfew

A curfew is now in effect in sections of Spanish Town.
The curfew, which was imposed by the police last night, runs until 6:00 pm today.
The curfew runs north along the Dela Vega City playing field between Port Henderson Road and Salt Pond Road; south along the Spanish Town Bypass between Port Henderson Road and Salt Pond road; east along Port Henderson Road, between the Spanish Town Bypass and Dela Vega City playing field; and west along Salt Pond road, between the Spanish Town Bypass and Dela Vega City playing field.
During the curfew, movements of vehicular and pedestrian traffic will be restricted and persons entering and leaving these areas will do so at the discretion of the ground commander.
