Nah man. Atkinson wouldn't have been aware of the disappearance if he knew that the man had it all along. Because if 'im lend it out, then it hasn't disappeared...he would have known exactly who (should) have had it.

The fact that he claims ignorance of it's disappearance is more frightening to me that Ricky Trooper's lighter or watergun or whatever he wants to call it now. Because this mean that Atkinson is totally oblivious or willingly lending out guns.

It is rather odd though isn't it? Any discussion on Brady, Bruce and the JLP is met with responses like "teabagger", "cayliss argument", "treasure hunting", "wait for all the facts" and "wild speculation" but discussion surrounding Atkinson's statement that he knew not of any "disappearance" of his gun that the police happened to find somewhere (even if not on the man they claim was in a shootout with them) merits no such name calling or derogatory remarks even though the speculation in both instances is basically the same i.e. discussing the possibilities based off the known facts.
