52-year-old farmer from Manchester has come forward and claimed the $240 million lotto jackpot, which had gone unclaimed since February.
A release from Supreme Ventures Limited, said the farmer identified as a Mr. S Gayle claimed the prize today and knew he won from the day the draw was done. The farmer reportedly said in the release that when he heard the numbers he told his friends he was going home to bath and go to bed.
Mr. Gayle said he then went home and signed the ticket and locked it away. He said he took so long to claim the money, which he won from February 10, 2010, because he had decided to take some time to relax and cool out.
The farmer says he intends to invest majority of the money in real estate and farming, which is his first love.
