pushing the Agenda to have his order sent to the Courts:

"It is a political decision. The minister sends the extradition request to the courts, which goes through the evidence to see if the evidence supports the charges, or there are breaches of any of the conditions in the treaty and sends it back to the minister," he explained. "If the minister certifies that there is nothing, then the minister decides whether or not to end the matter. I don't know of any case where after that process has been completed that the minister has refused to grant it. If the minister refuses, then reason has to be given. The court does not decide, the court is just a particular process."

Phipps said that the minister, however, did not have the authority to overrule the court if it decided that an individual was not eligible for extradition, as that person would be released by the court on the spot.

It certainly would not be a stretch to say that it is Duddus controlling all actions. In parliament and outside of parliament. What a powerful man is this man who has not denied that the charges laid against him in the request for his extradition is false?

          1) The Attorney General decides whether or not there's a case to answer
          2) The Court tries the case and gives the defendant a chance to answer/defend
          3) The defendant has a right to appeal any decision made by the court
          4) The Attorney General then has the right to squash the decision of the court.
The Attorney Genreral's Office - This is one powerful office...After deciding that there is a case to answer, and allowing taxpaper's money to be spent, this one person can then change his/her mind and cancel everything the court did..

Slow down. The minister does not decide if there is a case to answer. The minister sends the case to court for the court to decide if the evidence supports the charge. No changing of mind going on.

Lazie, are not reading the same papers. Over and over I've read that the US authorities are preparing a new request...Doesn't that mean that the original request has been rejected? Over and over you hear your fellow comrade said that him tell America that based on the current info they request can't honored...and they should go back and come with new/different evidence....
Are you saying that the original request the US saent is still pending and that the US is not preparing a new request?

Okay! If these matters are to be done in secret how would anyone know that the US is preparing a new request? If they were doing such a thing, why is it being reported that they want the UN to help resolve the issue?

Alright Plush ... continue with the conjectures.
