I have always been careful of these 'care packages' that the Americans send to poor countries stricken by natural disasters.
There is a photograph on Page 5 of the Observer today that would b e funny in other circumsyances, it is of a Haitian pastor who was accepting a gift of a Easter bun from some JDF soliders as they left Haiti last week.
The Haitian pastor is wearing a T-shirt and on closer inspection this was what as written on it
"I am not very good at algebra but isnt U + 1= 69"
I figure that English might not be his first language and he might not understand what the message he was conveying
