Details could emerge Friday on the ruling issued by Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) in bribery allegations against former Junior Minister Joe Hibbert.
A file on the allegations swirling around Mr. Hibbert was submitted to the, Paula Llewellyn last year following an investigation by Contractor General Greg Christie.
While Paula Llewellyn declined to provide details on Thursday, she told RJR News that her ruling would be submitted to the authorities Friday morning.
Mr. Hibbert was forced to resign his post as junior minister in the Works Ministry after British bridge building firm Mabey and Johnson pleaded guilty to offering him bribes for contracts in Jamaica.
The politician has denied the allegations.
But documents submitted in a British court revealed the bribery stemmed from a multi-million dollar project in Jamaica.
The UK prosecutors also allege that attempts by Mabey and Johnson to corrupt Mr. Hibbert began as far back as 1993, when he was still Chief Technical Director in the Ministry of Works.
According to Mabey and Johnson documents tendered in court, Mr. Hibbert allegedly received monies from commissions paid to the UK firm's local representative Deryck A. Gibson Limited.
