THE cop heading the St Andrew North Police Division says police there are tightening the screws against extortion, pointing to last week's arrest of two men said to be main players in an extortion racket in Stony Hill, St Andrew.
"We want to send a psychological message to anyone who thinks that they can come into the area and extort decent people. We will not be tolerating it," said Deputy Superintendent Altermoth Campbell, anti-crime boss at the Constant Spring Police Station.
