Miracle Man took advantage of a mistake by the Mexican horse Yack Lider and won the Caribbean Classic by 2 1/2 lengths.
Miracle Man, at 6 to 1 odds, had worked his way to third place by the top of the far turn, stalking the Mexican horse Yack Lider (9 to 2) andBlazing Free, a 19-to-1 longshot from Venezuela.
At the top of the stretch, Yack Lider drifted wide, and Miracle Man, on the inside,drove past a fading Blazing Free, blasted through the opening and never looked back.
