A suit has been filed in the Supreme Court seeking an injunction to bar Justice Boyd Carey and other members of the FINSAC Commission of Enquiry from proceeding with the hearings.
The suit was filed this morning by attorney Michael Hylton on behalf of Shirley Tindale, Dr. Omar Davies, Patrick Hylton and the Jamaica Redevelopment Foundation.
Our newscentre understands that the injunction is being sought in relation to the alleged bad debt that the FINSAC Chairman and his wife had with FINSAC.
However, Justice Carey has denied being linked to an unresolved debt to one of the banks taken over by FINSAC.
FINSAC was set up by the government to restructure the local financial sector following its collapse in the 1990s.
The enquiry is seeking to examine the circumstances that led to the collapse.
