for the longest time... years, i might add...

i have been advocating that the jamaican legislature enact tougher laws that can serve as a deterrent to crime and criminality... now i am seeing the acting deputy commisioner hinds calling for tougher laws to help in the crime fight...

what took the authorities this long to arrive at this conclusion... the bail act needs revision... penalties for criminal acts need revision... the jamaican laws were written for a different time for a different type of criminality... the laws need to be updated to match the current time and the more sophisticated criminal elements...

Would modified laws have prevented that idiot of a judge from changing 191 years to 12 in sentencing that cop recently?

It could have by giving a minimum sentence guideline.
