What percentage of the population and those here would be affected in the short term?
Maybe those here who are affected are at the banks now talking to their managers...Solidarity is not a matter of well wishing, but is sharing the very same fate whether in victory or in death.

you think a only the people with bond and savings account will benefit?- Don't let negative things break you, instead let it be your strength, your reason for growth. Life is for living and I won't spend my life feeling cheated and downtrodden.

I think someone here offered a aviable solution. The GOJ led by the PM should have a meeting with the major players in the soceity, i.e the banks, the hotelier, the farmers, the teachers and the health care workers and draft a national plan. Everyone will have to take some form of cut, with a number of incentives for the major foreign exchange earners. Special incentives must be made specifically towards agriculture in order to increase production. The JPS should also be present at that meeting as they need to understand their role in moving the country forward. There need to be a wage, price and rate freeze for at least two years before we can start seeing our way out. But hey, I am not an economist, so what do I know.Hey .. look at the bright side .... at least you're not a Liverpool fan! - Lazie 2/24/10 Paul Marin -19 is one thing, 20 is a whole other matter. You right. they have had meeting with a lot of groups just this week alone, Union, opposition, bankers, and others. They say wage freeze but the teachers association already said no.
The fact is many people still think it is Golding fault. Most people realise our problem so this is a good start and I hope he can be a better leader and the economy grow.
It is encouraging that this is the first IMF test most of the major goals and milestone is actually detailed to the common man.Last edited by Assasin; January 14, 2010, 03:07 PM.- Don't let negative things break you, instead let it be your strength, your reason for growth.
