Policeman attacked at Jamaica House

Up to late last night, the police had not charged the man who attacked a policeman at the entrance to the administrative offices of Prime Minister Bruce Golding on Hope Road in St Andrew yesterday.
The policeman was attacked by the knife wielding man who sought audience with Mr. Golding at Jamaica House.
When his request was refused, the man used the knife to slash the policeman.
The policeman was taken to hospital where he was treated for his injury.
His attacker remains behind bars.
The National Security Minister, Senator Dwight Nelson has since received a preliminary report on the incident.
