Description


The Station Manager is responsible for directing all customer service staff and related activities pertaining to airport operational integrity. The Manager must be able to communicate effectively with all layers of management throughout the Company.

• Establish staffing levels and select personnel
• Develop Crew Member skills and evaluate performance
• Ensure compliance with regulations, policies and procedures pertaining to airport functions
• Establish local service standards
• Direct and control all fiscal activity within the station
• Maintain appearance and condition of facilities used by customers
• Represent company at airport management meetings

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years airport management/operations experience
• Four-year degree preferred
• Leadership skills/experience, ability to direct and motivate staff.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Proven record of budget with others at all levels, both inside and outside the company.
• Must have previous customer service management experience, in high volume environment.
• Belief and support of AirTran Airways' Guiding Principles: Safety, Courtesy, Pride, Teamwork, and Innovation
• Eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship (current or future)
• Ability to provide 10 years of employment, education, unemployment history per FAR 108.33
• Completion of FBI criminal history check that reveals no felony convictions in most recent 10 years
• Ability to travel
