    Criminals continue to firebomb cars

Thursday, 19 November 2009 The police in St. Catherine have stepped up patrols in Greater Portmore in the wake of another incident in which a motor vehicle was fire bombed.

In recent weeks residents have expressed concern that wayward persons have been torching vehicles at nights.

Wednesday night a Toyota Corolla motor car was damaged in Three West in Greater Portmore.

No one has been arrested in connection with the incident.

The police have since said that they have launched an investigation into the attacks and are exploring several theories about what is motivating the attacks.

A friend of mine had his truck torched about 4 weeks ago, long before it became a national issue. This has been going on for much too long now. Portmore, like the rest of the country could use some video cameras right about now. Probably won't help this particular crime, but...

I expect to see some vigilante justice being meted out to anyone who is caught by citizens.
