Andre Woolery is building a business of attraction.
Jamaican-born Woolery started MagnoGrip in early 2005, during his first year at Stanford’s Graduate School of Business.
His idea was to create magnetized accessories for builders: wrist bands that hold nails and screws handy, tool belts whose pockets attract hammers and wrenches and drill bits so they remain reachable — and don’t tumble out when the belt comes off during breaks.
Already, his products have distribution in hundreds of stores from Ace Hardware to True Value, and half of MagnoGrip sales are online.
