and what if you borrowing from the IMF?

      Huh,

Latti or not, Jam is FAR from safe.

THAT is the reality...farting around with personnel and signals is exactly the red herrings that we love to divert ourselves with.

Betta to botch it and force financial reckoning day.

You seem to forget that we have been living a financial lie for 20+ years.

Dolly house HAD to mash up, as it was destroying Jamaica.

That stuff doesn't matter...this is not a technical matter of whether the downgrade is right or wrong... I leave that to the experts with info to decide...i have no position as I am neither an expert nor do I have the info.

this is a matter of horrible public policy...the firing of your lead negotiator in the middle of negotiations.....leading to a negative signal to the market.

This could have been avoided by dumping Latibeaudiere many moons ago...all the info to justify doing so was long ago available...instead they put him in charge.

                  Botched process.

the ONE plus is that it may tend to show the other side that you are serious, this depends on how the negotiations are going mind you.

the question i would ask is this, if it is your CHIEF negotiator and he is advocating a policy that is at odds with your plan, what should you do?!! it seems that at the last there may have been some inflexibility.

Unfortunately the dolly house is STILL mashing up Jamaica...unless you feel we are the road to progress.

I don't believe we are on that road, we are lost!! ....the same nonsense obtains whether PNP or JLP is in power.

My point is they would/should have known his positions before negotiations started....and if not agreeable to the GOJ ...he should have been dumped then....before the talks started.

This nonsense about him being dumped because of his salary package is just that...NONSENSE...a smokescreen.

It does get the public on their side though...those who can't think straight.

Again, the IMF issued a release Monday night. As far as they're concerned the negotiations are still going on.

                                According to the PM's presentation,

"Apart from the modest concession on the payment for rent, the Governor has remained adamant that the Bank's contractual obligations to him must be met. In a letter to the Minister dated Friday October 30th prior to his dismissal he stated in bold type "If the pacta sunt servanta principle which governs the sanctity of contracts is to have any meaning, the contract which I have signed with the Minister in accordance with statute should be observed". The letter goes on to say "If the contract is not to be observed then I would think that the law should take its course".

What Derrick needs to do is come out and dispute all the PM said. Omar admitted that the compensation was too high.

Now, until Derrick come out and give another angle, what evidence you have that its smokescreen?
"Jamaica's future reflects its past, having attained only one per cent annual growth over 30 years whilst neighbours have grown at five per cent." (Article)
