Dear Editor,
The Little Nazareth Christian Movement describes as political blasphemy opposition leader Bruce Golding's talk of Trafigura money to the PNP. The political machineries in the western hemisphere are kept throttling by money from individuals and companies all over the world. Those people and entities, more often than not, do business with the country in which the political party is operating.
The Little Nazareth Christian Movement sees Mr Golding's outburst as full of hypocrisy.
It is the democratic right of every political party in the United States, Britain, France, Germany and Jamaica to accept clean and untainted money, in furtherance of the quest for good governance and maintenance of a multi-party democracy.
Whereas it is the constitutional right of Her Majesty's Opposition to criticise and oppose national policies and matters which threaten the welfare of the people, it is not in keeping with the thrust of the national good to imply wrongdoing of the $31 million.
The Little Nazareth Christian Movement sees the talk as nothing more than action by scandalmongers partying not only for the prime-time news slots, but for the seat of governance.
Clifton Campbell
