  • Senator Snowe has indicated she will vote

for the Healthcare reform. Islandman, will her vote be enough to get this thing through if the Dems can agree that today is Tuesday?

Its a positive step but still a long way to go. The vote today is just the Finance Committee approval. Then a different set of Senators have a bill from the Health committee which still has a public option, so them will have to find common ground between the 2 committees and go forward with one bill.

THEN the rank and file Senators get to vote on the modified bill, assuming they think they have enough votes to bring it to the floor.

THEN they have to find common ground with the House Democrats, who are saying no public option, no bill.

So who knows what reform , if any at all, will make it all the way to Obamas desk.

Well, she did vote for and so far the bill is creeping through but she did warn that if the final draft is not to her liking she could change again
