Woman Reports Gang Rape By Eight Men
HARTFORD - Hartford police Major Crimes Division detectives are investigating the reported gang rape of a woman by eight men.
The assault occurred Sunday night but wasn't reported to police until Monday evening, police said.
The woman, who was not identified, told police she was looking for a place to stay when a man she knew offered his place as long as she didn't say anything to his mother.
Eight men then took turns raping the woman. The incident occurred in the northeast part of the city and the woman described her attackers as eight Jamaican black men, ages 18 to 20.
