Nice photos, Bricktop. At the same time, I must say that you’re either brave or else specially blessed on this forum, bro . Previously, I was the one who broke the news about the new Miss Jamaica Universe, Carolyn Yapp, and even worse, posted her photograph here. The result was a ****************ing debate on black Jamaicans vs. “other” Jamaicans (my choice of word) that raged for several days!
Anyway, with reference to Miss Yapp, the one major disappointment I had with her from day one was her height (she is about 5 feet 8 inches). Personally speaking, I’ve always felt that ladies standing, say, 5 feet 11 inches or taller tended to possess an advantage in the eyes of the judges, in addition to looking more “Miss Universe” type (whatever that is).
Then again, at times when I think this way I have to remind myself that Carole Joan Crawford, our 1963 Miss World winner, is a short woman. In fact, Carole Crawford is the shortest winner in the history of the Miss World competition.
