  • Historian !Did you know the name Ganja is from Asia

It means the thinking plant.I spoke with a friend of mine from Bangladesh and he boasted that his country has the best ganja because the Indinas bought it from them and took it to Jamaica, so I said how you know the bangladeshi didnt take it to Jamaica, he said you never know.

That accident that happened in NY where the lady died in a car crash with her 2 kids and 3 nieces , guess what they found in her body ? Alcohol and Ganja the main contributor that is being blamed for the accident is Alcohol not the Ganja.

Guess which one is legal ?

The husband is crying that his wife didnt use any drugs and they have it all wrong.Well the Toxicologist are standing by thier report saying they are 99.9% certain she was a drug abuser.

I am curious to see if they do a 2nd toxicology test and it comes back negative. This is a strange case because I cannot see how a husband would miss his wife drug abuse and how the toxicology reports came back positive .

Truly sad story three other men were killed as she drived down a highway in the wrong direction. The families of the men are thinking of suing the husband saying he should have known, child services are investigating the husband for child abuse etc.

That 0.1% can make all the difference in the world to that mans peace of mind.

"It therefore is useless and pointless, unless it is for share malice and victimisation to arrest and charge a 92-year-old man for such a simple offence. There is nothing morally wrong with this man smoking a spliff; the only thing wrong is that it is still on the law books," said Chevannes.

Who to Believe in Diane Schuler Taconic Tragedy?

Read More: Aa, Alcoholic, Crime, Daniel Schuler, Diance Schuler, Dominic Barbara, Driving, Drunk, Taconic, Westchester, New York News

    Who should we believe?
On the one hand we have a distraught husband who now says his wife did not drink and a lawyer known for antics both inside and outside the courtroom who would have us believe that Diane Schuler killed herself and seven others when she drove in the wrong direction on the Taconic State Parkway because she was a) possibly diabetic; b) suffering from a tooth abscess; c) had a lump on her leg that may have been traveling to her brain.
On the other hand we have autopsy and toxicology reports from a state-of-the art crime lab that not only ruled out the possibility that Diane Schuler suffered from a stroke, heart attack or diabetic episode, but found she was both drunk (to the point of being twice the legal limit) and high on marijuana.
When asked to account for those toxicology reports, Dominic A. Barbara, the lawyer now representing Diane Schuler's husband Daniel, said the Long Island mother might have been slugging down alcohol in a misguided attempt to increase her blood sugar level.
"You might want to self-medicate with something to bring the level up," he said at a news conference held yesterday on Long Island.
We'll have to wait and see if the American Diabetes Association recognizes Mr. Barbara's unique take on diabetic behavior as one they have seen amongst the 23 million adults and children in this country who actually have a formal diagnosis of the disease.
Yesterday's news conference with Diane Schuler's husband Daniel was painful to watch and no one can help but be moved by the emotion shown by a man clearly suffering from the loss of his daughter and wife. Nor was there any reason to doubt the devotion Daniel Schuler pledged to the lone survivor of the crash: his five-year-old son Bryan who is recovering at Westchester Medical Center.
But there was something unsettling about the event as well, particularly when Schuler described his now deceased wife. Asked whether he thought she had a drinking problem, he was emphatic: "Definitely not," he said. "She was a perfect wife."
Schuler went on to describe the 36-year-old Diane as "An outstanding mother, hard worker, reliable person, trustworthy."
Those are moving words and the kind of tribute you might expect from a grief-ridden husband.
But they are also the words recognizable to anyone who has ever attended a meeting of Alcoholic Anonymous or Al-Anon, the type of denial that runs rampant through the families of those whose drinking has spun out of control, yet who do not - or can not - recognize the signs that speak volumes (which in this case included a blood-alcohol level of 0.19 percent and a smashed vodka bottle at the scene of the accident).
"I never saw her drunk since the day I met her," Schuler said, his voice choking.
That may or may not be true. Long is the list of drinkers who who have been successful at hiding their problem from others, even from close family members. Regardless, it simply defies belief that a woman who had the equivalent of ten drinks of pure vodka in her system prior to the final tragic act that ended her life and that of seven others was someone who rarely drank.
This story continues to haunt us with unanswerable questions. But don't look to those who might know more to come clean anytime soon. State police who went to Mr. Schuler's home for a pre-arranged interview yesterday were rebuffed.
Nor would Schuler's lawyer allow him to respond to questions regarding the scientific findings that his wife had high levels of THC in her system, the active ingredient in marijuana.
Doubtless, Mr. Barbara will come up with a way to explain that. This is, after all, a lawyer well-versed in the pyrotechnics of courtroom drama, someone who first gained attention by representing Jessica Hahn (she of the dual career track of church secretary and Playboy model) whose affair with televangelist Jim Bakker made headlines in the late 80s. Mr. Barbara later went on to represent Mary Jo and Joey Buttafuocco in the infamous "Long Island Lolita" case of the early 90s.
Nor does Mr. Barbara shy away from self-promotion. Asked to sum up his courtroom style in an interview in Newsday in 1998, he described himself as bigger than life. "The reputation is that if you try a case with me, I'm going to kill you," he said.
Let's hope not. There's been far too much carnage in this case already.

              My Late Reply

X, please don’t take my late reply as any form of disrespect to you. I can assure you that this is by no means the case.

I didn’t reply yesterday for one reason only: I didn’t feel like causing another prolonged marijuana debate on the forum (plus it’s a topic that I really do not like discussing, and I cannot recall ever discussing it with anyone in my day to day life). Please note as well that my comments have never attempted to compare the effects of alcohol vs. marijuana. I fully recognize the fact that alcohol does a worse damage to the human body, much worse, than marijuana does.

Now, let me say this: I understand your views regarding marijuana, and I also know that in my personal comments on the plant, I often come across in an overly forceful way. There are countless very prominent people, both inside Jamaica and also in many other countries across the globe, who do not share my views on the dangers surrounding legalization of the weed.

I tend to write lengthy pieces, but I won’t be writing anything long this morning .

Now, think about this: If, say, a Group of 7 (G7) country such as Japan, Germany or the USA legalizes marijuana, the world will blink rapidly in surprise and then life will go on as usual. There will be no fallout, as which country is going to go beyond mere diplomacy and chatter in reprimanding any of these economic powers? There is no question that it will be business as usual following legalization by any one of the countries mentioned above.

In contrast, the day when a poverty-ridden, underdeveloped country like Jamaica legalizes marijuana will be the day when not even the IMF will be able to help us out of our misery!! The economic backlash (sanctions), I can assure you, will be hitting us left, right and center, and years from now our analysts will be left pondering the question of which did more to destroy Jamaica, the economic sanctions or the travel advisories posted on tourism web sites and in travel agencies?

Jamaica’s drug treaties, signed by our government(s), are not bilateral treaties! They are all multilateral treaties. Which powerful country, anxious to protect its citizens in an ongoing drug war, is going to sit by idly and allow an usurper nation like Jamaica to do more “damage” to their efforts to fight the drug trade?

And I’m focusing here only on the politically-related economic repercussions. The socio-economic repercussions from “high” and lethargic workers in a society where massive underproduction is already a characteristic feature of its economic milieu will be something that I don’t even want to contemplate.

And trust me on this: marijuana does not make one a “better” thinker!! What it does, from my years of interacting with guys high on the weed, is provide the confidence to sprout foolishness instead of genuinely intelligent conversation!

But like I said, I don’t want to start a debate again, so….

hmmm....it seems to play a part in the creative process of people like picasso, paul mcartney, a certain bob marley and a few others..... eediat a eediat and mant spout nonsense without it.

why whenever men get drunk they feel the need to tell any other man within shouting distance "i love you man!"? anyway.....just a penny ha'penny's worth..not looking to stir debate.
